The Oilless Fryer has an infrared heating element that heats to 400°F and its internal fan circulates the dry, hot air to cook golden-brown "fried" food.

"The Oilless Fryer creates the same texture and flavor of a deep fryer yet produces food with 80% less fat," explained Hammacher Schlemmer's General Manager, Fred Berns.

Chicken wings, french fries, or spring rolls cooked in The Oilless Fryer will have crunchy exteriors and moist interiors and the device accommodates up to four cups of food at once.

"Another significant benefit of The Oilless Fryer is it eliminates the hassle of disposing of hot, unpleasant cooking fat," explained Mr. Berns.

The fryer adjusts to cook between 170°F and 400°F, it has a 60-minute timer, and the cooking basket has a removable divider for keeping items separate as they cook.
