The Ramshackle Playhouse.

This is the children's playhouse that evokes the rickety, off-kilter construction of fantastical, cartoonish structures, yet is constructed with sound engineering principles for stable, safe play. Pre-fabricated from hearty, pressure-treated pine harvested from the boreal forests of northern Maine, and using traditional 2 x 4 construction and 5/8" walls, the house assembles directly on grass without the need for a foundation. The cedar shingle roof, roofcap, and the pressure-treated base keep out water and snow, ensuring a dry interior for continued play. The front of the house has an inward-swinging door with a peephole, and an open window that looks out onto a covered, red cedar porch supported by two skewed cedar uprights. The two side panels each have two misaligned windows, and the roof has a windowed dormer; the back panel has one window. The playhouse is decorated in non-toxic paint that withstands exuberant play and harsh weather for years. White glove delivery service includes assembly.
