The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy Porcelain Musical Egg.

This heirloom musical egg is reminiscent of the eggs crafted by Peter Carl Fabergé from 1885-1917, and plays Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite on an 18-note, key-wound musical movement. Open, the egg reveals a handpainted pewter centerpiece of Clara holding her nutcracker. The egg is crafted of lustrous, triple-fired porcelain decorated with details including raised relief, 22K gold accents, and 100 hand-set faux jewels and Swarovski crystals. The base of the egg has an artwork panorama in the Russian Palekh black-lacquer technique by master Natalia Zaitseva and depicts dancers at the Stahlbaum's Christmas Eve party. Each egg is numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity. 6 1/2" H x 4" W. (11 oz.)
