A simple lowering of the handle produces more than 100 lbs. of pressure and the unit generates steam up to 410° F, instantly smoothing stubborn wrinkles and forming sharp creases, yet the press will neither cause fabric to wear nor leave a shiny finish. Pressing is controlled with an automatic digital monitoring system to ensure consistent results based on the kind of fabric (nylon, silk, rayon, wool, cotton, or linen) you select on the LCD control panel. You can increase the steam burst with the touch of a button, the water reservoir pulls out for easy filling, and the unit closes and locks for unobtrusive storage. The reservoir holds up to 15 oz. of water, the ironing board's cloth cover keeps fabrics from sticking, and the unit automatically turns off when the pressing plate remains on the ironing board for more than 10 seconds.
