This toaster has four 1/2" x 51/2" slots that accommodate the thickest Texas toast or bagels. Each set of slots has independent controls, allowing you to perfectly toast pumpernickel rye and an English muffin simultaneously. A defrost setting toasts frozen waffles or pastries until they are golden brown on the outside and chewy and warm on the inside. A "lift and look" button raises and lowers toast in mid cycle to display its doneness and an "a bit more" button extends toasting time 30 additional seconds. The guide racks automatically lower food at the touch of a button and hold it at an equal distance from both heating elements.
