This is the only night vision monocular that can take digital pictures, enabling you to capture the nocturnal habits of animals and find your way back to camp after a night of stargazing. Its proprietary image-processing technology amplifies ambient light up to 10,000X, rivaling the light gathering qualities of Generation 3 devices commonly reserved for the U.S. military. It automatically adjusts the gain required to see an image in the dark based upon the amount of ambient light available, and you can also manually adjust the gain and frame rate from 2 fps to 30 fps to further optimize its light gathering capability. The included 512 MB SD card will hold up to 400 images, each taken at 510 x 490 resolution. The monocular provides a 70' field of view at 100 yards, and its adjustable eyepiece delivers 2.6X optical magnification. You can also select from four viewing colors to suit the subject (green for night vision, orange/blue for marine environments, and black/white for early morning).
