The Scissor Motion Scooter.

This is the scooter that moves when your legs move laterally in a scissor-like motion (Play Video). Propelled by the principles of adduction and abduction, the scooter's two foot decks terminate in spring-loaded, 5 1/2" polyurethane in-line skate wheels that pivot independently up to 60º, allowing for brisk multi-degree turns--even a full 360º--with speed. A front-wheel handbrake provides confident stops. It can be ridden on smooth, firm surfaces like a pair of in-line skates, allowing you to slalom back and forth with ease. It can also turn as a conventional scooter using just the front wheel and handlebars. When not turning, the rear wheels are aligned coaxially with both foot decks for coasting.
