This is the folding magnetic chess set that keeps pieces secure during play and storage. Made of renewable bamboo sanded smooth and lacquered with a finish that will not chip or fade, the board folds in half, forming an easy-to-store 12 1/2" L x 6 1/2" W x 3" H rectangle. When the board is deployed for play, the hand-carved teak (white) and sheesham (black) magnetic Staunton pieces "snap" to the center of each square, ensuring moves are preserved if the board is jostled, and making it ideal for travel or for when a game must be relocated.
