These snow grips gripped ice without slipping and were the most comfortable to wear, earning The Best rating in tests conducted by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute. Test panelists wore the grips over a variety of winter boots, and casual and athletic shoes and walked on an ice rink. Panelists lauded the grips for providing the best grip, unlike other models that were deemed "slippery" or "worse than gym shoes." Fitting easily over footwear, the grips are fastened to steel chains that attach to a durable elastomer harness; the forefoot section has six 3/8" spikes and the heel section four 3/8" spikes, all made from high strength steel that resists corrosion and abrasion.
