Recalling the Polynesian beach bars renowned for serving fruity, rum-based cocktails, the bar is made from 100% Anji Mountain bamboo that has a tensile strength of 28,000 lbs. per square inch--5,000 lbs. greater than that of steel--and is kiln-dried to remove excess moisture, resulting in a natural wood that's impervious to rain, sun, and insects. The 61" x 34" bar top accommodates up to four guests and the bamboo-tiled roof shades the bar to help keep mai tais from melting in the sun. A hanging stemware rack holds up to 15 glasses and a 33" shelved cabinet on the inside of the bar provides convenient storage for spirits, fruit juices, and bar accessories. The bar has a rounded handrail and the footrest is made from one piece of bamboo. Two included backless bamboo stools have flexible wicker-patterned seats, four sturdy bamboo culm legs, and four rungs for foot-propping.
