The Post Modern Skateboard
These are the annular skates that are propelled by leaning side to side, allowing you to glide along as if riding a skateboard without pushing off the ground. Riders simply place their feet on the two platforms and lean side-to-side to rotate the rubber wheels around the feet, propelling riders forward in a serpentine motion similar to longboard skateboarding. Since the wheels are not connected, riders can easily perform 720° spins and turn on a dime, while stopping is achieved by placing toes on the ground. The wheels are 10" in diameter, allowing them to traverse short grass and dirt surfaces. The included extendable rod can be connected to both wheels, providing stability to novices and hastening the learning period. Supports up to 200 lbs. Ages 8 and up. Red or Green. Each: 10" Diam x 4" W. (5 lbs.)

I bought this product to ride to work, efficient, fast and to help me get fit. However there is a MASSIVE Learning curve. Which is okay (no one picked upA bike and just knew what to do). For children a week of hard practise should Get them going pretty well,For adults a fair bit longer (two or three weeks)I would say. Keep at it and you will be rewarded In fun by the end.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Crazy Skating Fun
from Mason, OH
I gave this to my 11year old grandson. His 1st reaction was cool. Then he tried them out & absolutely hated them. I suggested he watch the DVD that came with them. He did watch it, went outside & off he went. This has now turned back to the cool stage & is a favorite thing to do.

Requires you to rethink the concept of skating. Once you adjust, the fun and pleasure of skating really goes to a new level.
Fun product but tough to learn
By Andrew Bladerunner
from Corvallis, OR
The product itself is fun to use but requires a lot of time and patience to learn. Fortunately, there are plenty of Youtube videos to help you along the way. The parts did not fit properly and required force to assemble. The training band that came with the product to keep the wheels together snapped on the first day of usage.

Poor quality, poor ride
By Teen's mom
from San Jose, CA
I bought these for my 14-year-old son, who was initially very excited about them. He's an avid skateboarder and ripsticker, and thought these would give him even more flexibility for tricks, etc. Well, in theory they would, but the construction is just cheap and the ride not good at all. The skates sort of bind up aren't very smooth. Just not what they were cracked up to be. And can't see them lasting very long.
