Reminiscent of "Hodges Hand Cars" encountered at carnivals and fairs in the 1940s, the prodigious footwear is propelled around an outdoor track by a child's simple pushing and pulling on a hand-crank. Minimal effort is required of children as they crank, so each train glides easily on precision-crafted, cast-iron wheels with a familiar "click-clack" sound as they go 'round the track. Two red locomotives are molded from gel coated fiberglass--the same durable material used to make speedboats--with a tubular steel base and nylon crank handles, and each supports a single child up to 100 lbs. The 30' diam. 12-gauge circular track is made of welded cold-rolled steel, and sets up in 15 minutes with the included fasteners and wrenches. Meets ASTM safety standards.
