Using technology developed for U.S. Air Force pilots, an advanced microchip in the included wireless headset monitors words and sounds and instantaneously adjusts their volume up or down accordingly so that voices are heard clearly. Because the headset's volume operates independently of the television's volume, it enables the wearer to adjust the volume to the preferred level without disturbing other viewers. The technology also automatically lowers the volume during commercials, eliminating the need to adjust the remote control. The television's high definition LCD screen offers 1080p resolution on a 16:9 screen with 450:1 contrast ratio. Designed for ease of use, the included remote control operates all functions with just six large buttons. The television includes all standard in/out ports for connection to a home theater system.
