This is the electric go-cart that enables a rider to execute drifting slides into corners, impromptu straightaway fish tails, and nimble 180º hairpin turns. The rear tires are made from injection-molded polyoxymethylene, a thermoplastic engineered with a low coefficient of friction--but also high abrasion- and heat-resistance--allowing the tires to slip during turns without "burning rubber." Its electric motor provides ample torque to propel a rider up to 140 lbs. at a top speed of 12 mph. The U-shaped steering yoke has both a hand brake for the rear wheels and a variable-speed throttle. Made from a rugged steel frame, the go-cart has a bucket seat that secures a rider with an included belt and shoulder strap. Two sealed, rechargeable 12-volt lead batteries provide up to 40 minutes of continuous racing from a 12-hour charge using the included AC charger. Minimal assembly using the included tools.
