This is the elliptical trainer that automatically adjusts resistance to keep the user’s heart rate in its selected target zone. Riders input their age on the control panel and select one of the pre-programmed target rates—55%, 75% or 90% of their maximum recommended target—and the elliptical automatically adjusts the workload to keep the heart rate within 5 beats per minute of target. Heart rate is monitored by pulse sensors in the handles and the elliptical can be set to any of 12 preset workouts or to any manual setting with 16 level of resistance.
