While most brimmed hats are stifling, ours has nylon mesh on the sides to reduce heat buildup, so it combines superior sun protection with cool ventilation. Solid, cotton twill top and a 3" brim protect your head and face, and an adjustable chin cord makes for a secure fit or easy hanging. A 1" band circumscribes the hat just above the brim. Ventilated Brimmed Hat

Durable hat for keeping the sun off the face. Brim is not ventilated and hat feels heavier than it looks. Top of hat is also a solid piece which tends to hold in the heat somewhat.

My husband has had many instances of Melanoma. The fact that the Cancer Society recommended this hat was definitely the main reason for the purchase. It protects him while looking stylish and it travels well. He lives in it on the golf course!!

I've tried a lot of hats. Been wearing this one for two years on the farm and on the boat. It's still in great shape, just a little stained from exposure to tough conditions. Chin strap's nice on the boat, tucks away when I don't need it. Breathes well, shades well.

The hat feels pretty good -- I would like it even more if it had a bit of elasticity to make the fit even better. I bought it primarily for sun protection while golfing or doing other things outside, so the wide brim is really nice.
