Surprisingly effective!

I have this unit placed in my living room which is an open area that reaches from front of my condo to the rear which happens to be my kitchen. I suffer from COPD and asthma and noticed a huge difference in how "light" the air felt when I woke up the next morning and left the bedroom and made the turn to make my AM coffee. It rids the area of all odor including cigarette smoke.The manual tells you to decide exactly where you want to place this and never move it around as it will release all the toxins it has collected.I am waiting on the white VOC unit that I ordered at the same time, but am very tempted to purchase another for the bedroom. I highly recommend this unit, and will update this review if I encounter any problem, and will compare it to the VOC unit that is due to arrive May 7, 2013.

Air Quality efficiency testing

In order to determine the efficiency of this product, one would have to conduct air quality control sampling. I do not like to keep windows closed for maximum efficiency of this product.

Pleased overall

Cleans up a basement home theatre but is quiet so not distracting like a fan-based filter would be. For those who complain it smells for hours, it says in the instructions it will release an odour for a whole (out-gassing chemicals from the plastics) but I just ran it in my garage until that settled and it was fine. Read the instructions!

Very Effective

Within 2 days, we noticed a big difference in the quality of sleep we were getting. My husband who has allergies and asthma did not have the congestion that he used to get in the mornings. Great product.

I suffer from allergies(dust mites, pet fur, weed tree pollen, etc.) and would always wake up with a stuffy nose. After putting the Air Purifier in the bedroom and running it for 2-3 days, no more stopped up nose! This product is quite remarkable! No noise; no heat!

Slept like a baby!

We had an air filter before that no longer worked, needed to keep ahead of the pet dander and dust due to allergies. This air purifier made a world of difference the first night. Have one in the bedroom and living area - breathing easier. I like that the LED light can be dimmed -- was a bit bright for a bedroom, now just a little light to see by, if needed.

Amazing!

We have a room that always smells moldy. We are planning on ripping the wall in question out when we begin a remodel, but that may be a while. Luckily this product was available. The room now smells great! No hint of mold so we feel safer about being in it.

We sleep much better now. I feel better knowing that there are no harmful microorganisms in the house since we have two cats. I have no way of knowing if the machine is working to it's full capacity or not (nothing to check). Although I know that the air is cleaner, I wish that lingering cat odors were eliminated. It takes two weeks according to the directions to kill germs so it can't be moved from room to room.
