I can see from passenger window post to driver window post, including the back seat and the "way back" in my small SUV. Check passengers, kids, dogs, etc. with a glance. Helps in backing out of tight parking lots. Good for helping to block the sun through those front windshield spots the visors don't cover. Only had it a few days, one road trip, but so far I love it.

This product really does work. Gives a great wide-angle rear view. One caveat that you should be aware of is that it is bottom-heavy. That means that if your rear mirror is not strongly and/or firmly affixed in the swivel connection, this mirror will tilt it down everytime. I couldn't get it to stay still on my Pathfinder, which is what I bought it for. The mirror just kept tilting down. But it worked great on my Toyota and Honda which apparently have firmer rear view mirrors.

I was having difficulty becoming accustomed to the field of vision in my SUV. The relatively new side/curtain airbags reduce the range of vision. This mirror has already saved me from changing lanes on a smaller car. I'm very happy with my purchase and feel safer in heavy traffic.

While the extended mirror offers some additional exposure to the "blind spot" area, on a Subaru Forrester the compromise between visibility and a seating position which results in the driver's head blocking the "blind spot" area, limits the functionality.

My mini convertible has a very bad blind spot when the roof is up, and I was considering selling it for this very reason. I tried this mirror, and the blind spot is no longer there, I can see easily on both sides, which has made my car a lot safer, and I can say I absolutely love this mirror!!!

I love this product!!! It was very easy to install and is very practical. I purchased this because I drive a lot on the highway but I am pleasantly surprised that this has also helped with driving at night. It cuts down on the glare of headlights from behind.
