Properly adjusted for the driver (instructions included) it provides a panoramic view of all traffic behind; PLUS, it allows you to easily judge speed of approaching vehicles. Makes side mirrors unnecessary. For safety & convenience, these should be standard equipment.

Although the mirror provide a wider range of vision, it contracts all images. When I view another vehicle with the blind spot rear view mirror, the size of the vehicle is smaller and appears to be farther away.
