These filters are used in the Ceramic Cat Fountain which is a wonderful invention enjoyed by my cats and by me. The fountain is not only useful, but beautiful and easy to care for: a quick wash every morning and a new filter every two or three weeks. The filter should be changed more often, but they are not cheap. The ceramic is much more hygeinic than the plastic type of fountain, because those become scratched over time and house bacteria...also they are more difficult to clean and therefore don't get cleaned as often as they should. The only problem I have with the Ceramic Cat Fountain is that the electric cord is troublesome to me. It doesn't fit quite right and therefore gets abraided and I'm afraid will someday electrocute us all. I have had it for over a year and should replace it.

With the housing having a 'natural' dip, this could actually be an opening for the housing. AND the filter could be easily replaced, instead of replacing the entire component, at the COSTLINESS that there is now. I run water through it, soak it and do my best to get more than one and one-half weeks out of it. A bag of filter material would be more cost effective.

If you bought their pet fountain, you have to buy the replacement filters. I clean the fountain (soap & water) and the filter (water only) each week and replace the filter with a new one every other week. All four of our cats love the fountain and after losing a cat to CRF (Chronic Renal Failure), I make sure they all drink plenty of clean water every day!

My cats love the ceramic fountain these filter go in, and I like knowing the water is fresh. These filters last a long time so we get good value for our money with them. They are easily installed and very reasonably priced.

We have 2 cats and sometimes go away for 3 or 4 days. Somebody will fill the feeder and they always have fresh and clean water with the fountain. Its easy to use and just needs to be topped up.

I have the ceramic pet fountain for my cat and just love it. I ordered nine more filters as I know I will have this appliance for a long time and my cat loves it too. It is tue cats like fresh flowing water and he "took" to it right away. It is low maintenance and very easy to change the filters.

Little to say about a filter. It fits. It is easy to install. Only lasts a few weeks though. Don't know where I can find replacements other than HS.
