This is the digital coin sorter that counted change with the greatest accuracy and was easiest to operate, which is why the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute named it The Best. The machine counted $375 in assorted coins and was 99.98% accurate, as opposed to other models that were wildly inaccurate or jammed to the point of inoperability. The machine sorts coins into 16 tubes--four tubes per column for each denomination (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter). The sorter automatically advances the next coin tube when the preceding one is filled and unlike lesser models, it stops automatically when a column of coin tubes have been filled to prevent jamming. The machine also accepts commercial-quality pre-formed coin wrappers (starter supply included) that enable convenient handling of counted coins. The unit's hopper holds up to 800 coins and its 26-rpm motor sorts 312 coins per minute. Whereas other models only show the total in dollars and cents, this unit's digital screen also displays the number of each coin denomination counted. U.S. denominations only.
