Good, but not as much as bug spray

My husband is a bug magnet and has strong welt reactions to bug bites. We doesn't want to "spray down" with bug spray daily, so we got this. It actually helps when you stay in one general area, but doesn't stop bugs as effectively as bug spray. Doesn't do anything at all for walking/hiking (i.e. moving). That said, since he's sick of bug spray and can't wear mosquito netting all day, this has been a great option to help with the problem.

It actually works!

We went to Cumberland Island (off the Ga/Fla. coast) where the no-see-ums (gnats), ticks and mosquitoes are omni-present and voracious; my husband and I both wore these devices on our long walks through the woods, dunes and on the beach and I am delighted to report neither of us were bitten! This is a product that performs as advertised. Was easy to assemble and use too.

I go walking on a nature trail daily for about 6 miles or so and in the spring and summer it is infested with hordes of mosquitoes and this product works great fending them off.

We turn this on when we go outside, and the mosquitos stay away! The smell is quite strong so I have to point it away from me, but it's effective. It's not a bad smell - just strong

I am like a bug and insect magnet....so I was hoping this would really work, had set out two on my chair and just watched the bugs go right by it and land on me. Too bad since it was organic I was hoping it would work....going to return
Not what I expected

The odor is so strong that I cannot wear it or be close to it to make it effective. I bought 4 of these since I was going to Minnesota and the Mosquitos are really thick, however the smell of the product was really unbearable and I won't use again. If I could I would return them for a refund.

This product actually does keep the mosquitoes at bay. I really dislike using spray as I always feel like I need to shower after to get rid of the "sticky" feeling. With this just remove & voila done. The only issue I have with it is when bending over a lot in the garden it does have a tendency to fall off. It runs off 2 AA batteries, but I have been using this item for several years now & I usually get a full season from one set of batteries with no problem! I love this product!

Insect repellent gadgets I have bought before are usually a waste of money and I still get bitten. Surprise!! This one really works. In a 5 day period in the woods of Maine where the mosquitoes are hungry and plentiful, I got only 2 bites.
