The device simply clips to your finger and automatically provides an EKG accurate reading to ±2 beats-per-minute. It displays readings on a 1 1/3" LED screen using large, easy-to-read numbers. The unobtrusive heart rate monitor fits in a shirt pocket for ease of portability and it won't inhibit hand movements when in use. Know Your Pulse in Cardiac Rehab

In a 12-week cardiac rehab after open-heart, 2-valve replacement surgery, I found it difficult to take my own pulse. This fingertip pulse rate monitor accurately showed me if I was achieving my goal rate of 90 to 106. A side benefit is the oxygen level is also shown.
