This is the portable device that preserves cherished slides and film negatives at 9 megapixel resolution without being tethered to a computer or electrical outlet. Slides (35mm) and negatives (110 and 135) are placed into a tray that aligns each properly when it is inserted into the converter. The touch of a button captures the image in 3-5 seconds as a JPEG file that can be immediately previewed on the built-in 2 1/2" TFT color display and stored onto an SD memory card (8 GB card sold below stores over 10,000 pictures). You can transfer images to a PC running Windows 7, Vista, or XP, or a Mac via the included USB cable (or remove your SD card). You can also connect it directly to a TV to view the conversion process or your converted images. Its 9 MP CMOS sensor provides 3328 x 2216 resolution, automatic exposure control, and color balance, resulting in clear digital images without loss of quality. Its rechargeable battery provides up to three hours of operation from a three-hour charge using the included AC adapter (or a six-hour charge via USB). Includes photo editing software that allows optional manipulation of converted digital photos. 6 1/2" H x 4 1/4" W x 4 1/4" D. (1 lb.)

Comments:
Once I got the hang of it, processing hundreds of 35mm slides was easy. Now everyone wants me to do theirs too !

This actually does work as promised (I had bought another type from another supplier that I just could not get to work!) It was basically plug and play and the colour quality is quite good.

Love It, Love It, Love It!!!!

Love this product. It works like a charm. I got an SD Card with lots of memory for 14.00 at big box store and I can work on slides for hours before transferring them to my computer. Just as someone else mentioned, the SD card goes in upside down compared to how it goes into my computer. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the software is not necessary. Just save them to your computer and use programs with which you're familiar to do your editing. Works like a charm!!!!!! This so ROCKS!!!!!!
Terrific Product

After my mother in-law passed away, we came across boxes and boxes of slides. I wanted to be able to share those pictures with the younger generations. After months of reading reviews on products, this one seemed to have everything needed...boy does it work great. My husband and I spent an evening of him loading the slides while I scanned and emptied. We went through 1,000 slides in no time!I highly recommend this product. It is not perfection quality because of the age of the slides and how they were stored but well worth it bringing family history alive...
Easy and fast

Very simple to set up device. We have lots of slides and negatives which I can now copy for the kids. It also allows me to sort and toss the "priceless" travel pictures.

It couldn't be easier to use. I was even able to come up with a way to scan APS negatives. (2200 in less than 8 hours.)

Good slide converter
By CCC
from Marquette, MI
After reading several of the reviews on this slide/negative to picture converter and also on many other similar products, I decided to go with this one. I was happy that it was easy to use and the picture quality was really good. The only downfall is that most of my negatives were from 126 film and there is not a tray for processing them. There are only trays for 110 or 135 film negatives. I was able to use the tray for 135 negatives, but part of the picture was chopped off. This would be something for the company to consider if they are looking to improve the use of this converter.
