We gave my mom one of these after she injured her knee and was diagnosed with serious arthritis and recommended knee-replacement surgery. She refused the surgery. Though she still has some stiffness, she says she never has pain in the knee now. Her OWN knee! After visiting her and seeing her relief, I used the LED device on my elbow and immediately ordered one for my husband and myself ... he has hip and bunion pain, and I have arthritis associated with lupus. Both of us have enjoyed significant reductions in pain. I use the device at least once a day, and he uses it maybe twice a week.Whatever technology this device employs, it works for us. Not always, but on most occasions I experience many hours of relief from heat and pain in my joints. It is great on my neck at the end of the day. My husband could not believe how much better his foot felt after treating that bunion and then walking 8 blocks through the city.Even though it is a little pricey, it is absolutely worth it ... an investment in comfort that I would recommend to anyone who has chronic (daily and constant) pain. Easy to use ... just read the directions, plug it in, and off you go. This is a wonderful piece of equipment.

I am 69 and hoped it would help with an arthritic hand which was hampering my tennis. Alas it did not help at all after three 20 minute treatments.

I gave this as a gift to my husband whose knee was swollen and painful. The Dr. gave him a shot which reduced the swelling but the soreness was still there. after about 3 applications his pain was reduced and he started using it on his sore hip.

I have had hip replacement surgery and also a frayed quadriceps muscle in the same leg and theinfrared pain reliever has been a godsend. It goes way beyond a heat pad in relieving pain and assisting the body's healing processes. Don't know what I'd do without it.

Use 2 to 4 times in different spots.Best is that I can sleep without being awakened with excruciating pain.Not so great, the 14' recommended period because it absolutely precludes any other activity including reading. Manufacturer should provide a soft, wide elastic band that could secure the handle to a limb.

It works very well to relieve muscle pains, cramps, and strains. If it were more powerful it would be perfect...I need to apply it for 20 minutes for it to be effective...but it does work well on the pain! It is difficult to hold to the back of my neck for 20 minutes in that it is an awkward position to hold it like that.

I used this device one year after hip surgery. I always had muscle type pain in the surgery area, especially climbing stairs. After one treatment, I felt no pain at all. I have only started using the device so I can't determine how long the relief will last. I plan to use it daily. My husband uses it it on his knee joint with good results also. The gentle warming effect is quite soothing during treatment.
