This device strengthens the respiratory system and helps reduce shortness of breath. The device gently restricts airflow as you breathe through it, creating resistance that builds muscles in the respiratory system that weaken with age or due to asthma, bronchitis, or emphysema. Similar to larger units used in hospitals, the respiratory exerciser adjusts to different levels of resistance to help foster gradual improvement without unnecessary strain. Independent tests show that inspiratory muscle training can reduce dyspnoea (shortness of breath) when used twice a day for one month. About the size of a cell phone, the unit transports easily.
