This fan replaced an older one that performed satisfactorily for years. However this fan is far superior, more quiet, and much more attractive. The older fan required cleaning an awkward filter at least twice a year.
We use our fan every night in our bedroom for at least 4 hours. I expect this unit to last many years. It definitely is a winner so far.

It is very tall, so storing could be a problem. It is plastic and I worry the base could break. It is quiet and moves the air well.

The remote was not functioning , but our experience with previous fans has been that we didn't use the remote that often anyway.

The fan works great to ciruclate heat in the winter and cool air in the summer.

The oscillation setting is very quiet.

We have a huge old house, with no fans in the rooms. I was tired of having to turn down the ac all night in the entire house just to keep from sweating in my sleep in my bedroom. This fan works perfect! Fits easily in our room, quiet, keeps us cool all night long. Great product!

This is incredible and everything and more in so many ways, remote is wonderful you can adjust speed , on and off and movement. It is Not loud at all as more of a white noise and not distracting or in any way keep you awake if used in bedroom. Takes the edge off a hot summer and found I sleep so much better and awake rested. Would HIGHLY recommend to Anyone and especially a friend.

Everyone's perspective of what's quiet is different, but based on other reviews, I took the chance with an online purchase of this fan. I'd hoped the Best Tower Fan would be quiet enough for my daughter's bedroom at night. Since that is what I was hoping for, I wouldn't recommend this fan. We don't have air conditioning and even in northern MN, we've needed help keeping cool this summer. Her bedroom gets so warm and stuffy on those nights it's too warm outside to open the windows. Then again, she doesn't like her windows open because of the noises outside — natural, rural, woodland noises, which I love. So she IS picky.

It's a relatively quiet fan, but I have a 20 year-old, metal-framed, circular, desk-top fan that's much quieter on the lowest setting. It's about the same as our 20 year old, box fan from what's now considered a dying big box store. And it is nowhere nearly as quiet as a nice ceiling fan. Maybe that's an unfortunate comparison because even though this tower fan wasn't cheap, it was much less expensive than a ceiling fan. But unfortunately, having heard quiet fans before, I expected this would be much quieter.

This fan does have a bit of a plastic-sounding rattle coming from somewhere inside, on any type of floor surface. It's seems to be made entirely of plastic, so I guess that's not surprising. I am keeping the fan though. Because it's a tower fan and has a small footprint, it's handy to have tucked away in a corner in the living room. It's quiet enough for use when there are other household noises. But even I don't really want to use it at night. Since my picky daughter doesn't want my 20 year old desk fan, I'll keep that one across from my bed. My bottom line is really 50/50 between recommending it, versus not. It's not what I'd hoped for, but it's a decent fan at a decent price. I wouldn't call it The Best and would only label it as moderately quiet.
