This is the security camera that allows you to monitor your home from a smartphone. The camera sets up anywhere in a home and transmits realtime video over the Internet to an iPhone or Android-driven smartphone. A website allows you to pan the camera up to 270º and tilt it up to 125º for optimal remote positioning. The camera transmits 640 x 480 resolution video at 30 fps and has 15 infrared LEDs around the lens for night-vision surveillance. The camera's motion detector automatically sends you an email when it detects movement and saves a 30-second video recording to an SD card (2 GB card included). Connects to a computer via the included Ethernet cable or WiFi. Also compatible with computers running Windows 7, Vista, XP or Mac OS X 10.5 or later. Plugs into AC. 5" H x 4" W x 5" L. (12 oz.)

We use the product to monitor our home when we are away. The instructions to set up the e-mail settings difficult and we will have to call manufacturer for help

Great for the money.

Tech background. Got it installed and set up with a little difficulty. Just stick with it. It's worth it. Best used indoors. Cannot shoot thru windows and screens at night. LEDs reflect back into the lens. Trying to catch peeping Tom on "film" so had to move it outside under the eave. Not too difficult. Works great except attracts the occasional moth. Can live with that. All in all... I love it. If nothing else, gives us piece of mind. Great indoors if you go on vacation and want to monitor things. Really not made for outdoor use so ill use it inside as soon as this problem is resolved.

Quick set-up; not so quick or easy

Went through the quick set-up guide line by line and after registering the product I received an error notice that my product wasn't registered. Went through the process a second time and could not because an error said the product was already registered.The camera picture is not great quality and very jerky. Still not able to view pictures from wireless devices due to set-up difficulties. I don't need the pictures of inside my house if I can only look at the pictures while I am inside my home.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Really Nice Product

This nifty little gadget is great - it actually works better than advertised (the remote movement of the camera is completely silent). The picture quality is exceptional and it's really easy to access from a smartphone. I was able to remote view (okay, spy on) my aged 17 year old pup while I ran to the market and it was great being able to see how he handled being left alone for a half hour (he picketed the safety gate for about 15 minutes and then resigned himself to his comfy pillow for the duration). The night viewing is exceptional, and moving the camera is a breeze. Heck, I'd have paid twice the price for something that works this well (oops - probably shouldn't have said that out of courtesy to future buyers - please disregard comment HS!). In short, a great product at a great price.

Inside Home Piece of Mind Security

As someone who lives alone in a home with exterior security cameras as well as an in-home alarm system, I thought it prudent to have at least one internal camera without all of the maintenance hassles (cost) and weather related issues (wind, lightning, etc) that come with exterior cameras. Although I can view the exterior cameras via my smart tablet, that feature also comes with a monthly fee. This Mole (interior camera), due to being inside the home, is maintenance-free with no monthly fees. A major plus is it doesn't have to remain fixed in one location, either. As long as it's near an electrical outlet, you can change locations at any time. It only requires the ethernet cable to hook up to your wireless router only once for the initial set-up. After that your wireless router will transmit the image(s) to your smart device, no fuss, no muss. Oh, and you can remotely tilt the camera side-to-side and up and down. Amaze your friends and co-workers. The malcontents better not get any goofy ideas.

Sofware is difficult to navigate and kept saying network was off-line when it clearly wasn't. Fought it for several hours then boxed it and returned it to HS. May consider re-purchasing when and if the software changes. I was very disappointed :-(

Terrific IP camera!

I use this product to scan my place when I am travelling. Its rotation and wide angle view are fabulous. It has infrared built in so you can still see even in dark rooms. If you want it will email you if motion is detected. You can view it with available software for your computer, with an App for your mobile device, or simply on an internet website.
