This is the shirt made in County Cork, Ireland, from the softest cotton flannel in the world. Historically, flannel shirts had been made from brushed, coarse wool without collars, worn by Ireland's farmers and laborers. By the early 20th century, collared, cotton "flannelette" shirts had supplanted their predecessors. Made from 100% Turkish cotton with exceptionally long 2" staples, this shirt is napped on both sides to create flannel's renowned raised pile, resulting in a luxuriously soft, "broken-in" hand and unequaled warmth.
