This is the rear-loading recycling truck that compacts, stores, and dumps refuse just like the real thing. Made by Bruder, renowned German toymakers for 85 years, and winner of the Spiel Gut Award, Germany's highest honor for toys, it includes two 3 1/4" H x 2" sq. recycling bins that are dumped by hand into the truck's hopper with a lifting grapple. The twist of a knob activates a packer blade that scoops debris into an internal storage compartment which holds up to 100" cu. of crumpled paper or other small items. The compactor assembly tilts up and locks into place for dumping; a second knob pushes materials out the rear with a "moving wall" piston. A 1:16 scale replica of a Mack Granite series refuse truck, its tilting hood reveals an engine block, its side-view mirrors fold, and its tires leave tracks in wet sand.
