The base of the glass pitcher houses blades that chop or stir ingredients and a heating element that sautés the vegetables and cooks the soup. The device automatically maintains the preselected temperature between 150º F and 200º F to gently simmer or rapidly boil soups and the food processing blades can chop or puree vegetables to make a rustic minestrone or a silky tomato velouté.
