This is the home coffee bean roaster that produces the freshest possible, customized coffee beans in 20 minutes. Simply fill the roasting chamber with widely available green coffee beans and the device circulates hot air throughout the chamber to roast the beans. An auger stirs the beans to ensure even, thorough roasting and a removable chamber collects the chaff as it falls off the beans. Adjusting the cooking time and the amount of beans in the roaster allows you to create light, medium, or dark roasts. The device uses patented catalytic technology and a filter to minimize smoke and odor. About the size of a coffee maker, the unit sets up unobtrusively and has an easy-to-use digital control panel. perfect for beginners

This product is perfect for a beginning roaster. It's a bit too loud, so you can't really hear the 1st or the 2nd crack, but unlike other roasters, the time between the 2 cracks is really long, so it's really difficult to make a bad roast with this. I think you'd need to pay at least double the price of this unit to get any improvement on roasting. Also, thanks to the cat. converter, there's absolutely no smoke from this unit. I'm satisfied with the purchase.

smokeless home coffee bean roaster

I enjoy really good coffee. I have been roasting my own coffee beans for the past ten years. I like this model because I am now not forced to roast the beans outside or on my back porch, due to the smoke produced. I would like to be able to roast a little more at one time, but this is true concerning my old home roaster also.

Best Roaster for the $

This is a great coffe roaster so far. It's pretty consistent at roasting evenly. It's got a great smokeless design with no filters to clean. There are only a few downsides: the chaff collector can be a bit messy; some of the beans still have a little chaff on them at the end of the roasting/cooling cycle; the bean auger is on the noisy side; and the min/max bean fill lines don't allow for much variation in batch size. However, for the price, this is made from professional quality materials that will work fine for 95% of us home roasters.
