Unlike the iPhone's built-in microphone, this superior model has an analog-to-digital converter that handles up to 125 dB SPL, capturing loud sound from a concert or an instrument without distortion. The high-sensitivity microphone has a frequency range of 10 Hz to 20 kHz and records subtle sound that is missed by lesser models. The microphone attaches to an iPhone's 30-pin dock connector, rotates 180�, records in mono or stereo, and has a limiter that mitigates sudden loud sounds.
