This is the pen light that produces 220 lumens of bright illumination—2X more than any pen light. Made by a company that provides tactical illumination to the military, the pen light has a high-powered 100,000-hour rated LED, polished steel reflector, and a digital power management system that generate high-intensity light. A polished prismatic glass lens provides better light transmission than lesser plastic lenses and the internal brass head yields optimal heat dissipation, allowing the batteries to last longer. The high-powered light can also be lowered to 110-lumens for illuminating a restaurant menu or switched to a 160-lumen strobe light for emergencies. The polished stainless steel and brass bezel give the pen light the look of a fine writing implement, yet the shaft is made from sealed, aircraft aluminum with a military-grade anodized graphite finish, creating an impervious barrier to water and resistance to blunt impacts. I am very pleased with this very lightweight flashlight! It is super brite. I really think the strobe light would be very useful in an emergency - would certainly get noticed! A bit expensive but quite unique.

I have two of these one for home and one in the truck. Takes up no room clip in on the visor and your ready for the night. Got my truck stuck trying to cross a creek in Georgia, had to walk about three mile back through very dark Georgia hills. This little guy lit the night Great.

I was skeptical at first when I read the reviews of this amazing penlight. What the other reviewers didn't mention is that it uses a GITD O-ring which picks up a little more light to make it glow in the dark. It is sandwiched between the glass lens and the bezel of the flashlight's stainless steel head. This is awesome as to when you turn on the light at night or anytime during the day a blue glow ring starts to charge! So when you turn off the flashlight and your in the dark, the cool looking ring glows! Easy to find! The EPLI surprised me with it's very bright LED and quality materials. This little light is really good looking, extremely rugged, and fits very well in the hand, and suit pocket. The switch is easy to operate and the 3 modes function as advertised. This would make an ideal gift for anyone. Very handy instrument.

I purchased this for an extensive trip to Israel and Palestine. I was SO AMAZED at the light that it produces, its light weight and how comfortable it is in my hand - and how little space it takes up in purse or backpack. It was borrowed by our guide to illuminate all sorts of historic sites including very dark caves - fabulous. Now home I use it for walks and feel safe knowing that all will see me!
