A free downloaded app turns an iPhone into a touch-screen remote control that communicates with the faithfully detailed berlinetta via Bluetooth, allowing for indoor or outdoor use up to 30' away. The app uses an iPhone's motion-sensing accelerometers to allow precise yet simple tilt and pan steering, acceleration, and braking. Force feedback on an iPhone provides an increasing rumble of the engine as the car accelerates, including actual audio samples of a Ferrari's revving engine. The app's dashboard includes touch controls for the Ferrari's headlights, hazard lights, turn indicators, and horn. Trim settings for steering provide precise control over smooth surfaces such as hardwood floors, tile, or asphalt. Also compatible with iPad and iPod touch. Includes four AA batteries.
