This product solves the problem of pets wanting fresh water. It works well but ours broke the first day it was used. It still works but one leg of the the tri-pointed fountain holder broke off. Because it still works I haven't bothered to return it but it doesn't seem to be as sturdy as advertised.

I can't order replacement plastic covers for the 3 feet from HS, unfortunately. The motor is easily clicked off when cleaning and then one has to take everything apart again.

I like to give my cat the best available. I've always wondered about the water fountains so I decided to purchase one. It makes sense, if they like toilet bowl water, cats like fresh water. If I had known that you need to replace the filters once a month, that you need to clean the bowl and pump once a week, I probably wouldn't have bought this big of one or bought it at all. I would recommend this unit since it is put together very well but I'd warn about the maintenance. Maybe it should be obvious but it wasn't to me.

Sadly, we will send this product back tomorrow. Cats rejected water that went through the filter. Used it a bit more without the filter, but not enough to make it worthwhile. It is awkward to lift and clean with the electrical wire threaded through -- too heavy with water in it and too easy to drop or spill. Had high hopes -- our male cat especially loves fresh water (in the basins, e.g.). But he was not enthusiastic -- so put off by the filter odor we think. Too hard to clean to keep without the filter.

My pets are very happy with this product. It's so easy to use and my vet said it's great for pets. Easy to clean.

Bought larger size but found it to be too big - takes up entire pet feeding area. Returned for smaller size. Good construction - durable material that so far has not gotten moldy like the store bought plastic models. Is noisy. Can hear the hum of the motor constantly, although it is a low sound. I end up unplugging it when not in use during the day so I don't overheat it, and so I don't have to hear the "white noise."

Two degreed adults had a problem assembling the pump per instructions offered and , instead, relied on experience and our own common sense to figure out how to get this fountain to operate. Even so, we had to disassemble several times before realizing lever adjustments to the flow were needed to even get the flow to START. After that, no complaints. The item has a large enough reservoir to allow 2 small dogs enough water to last several days before refill is needed. It is white and porcelean so cleaning is obvious when needed and easy to accomplish. It IS porcelean, though, so it is somewhat heavy. I suggest you get it to flow first on a countertop, then dump the water and move it to the place you desire, and then fill again and plug in as the last step.
