At 42" tall, this is the jumbo version of the classic sock monkey cherished by generations of children since the 1930s. Originally crafted from a pair of signature red-heeled work socks manufactured by Nelson Knitting in Rockford, Illinois, this iconic toy retains the traditional white paws, red tasseled hat, friendly black eyes, and smiling red mouth stitched from the trademark heels. About the height of an average four-year-old, the plush primate is firm enough to sit up unsupported during a child's tea party or game of cards, and its gangly 17"-long limbs invite piggyback rides and hugs.
