Product Story

This high-definition amplified television antenna earned The Best rating from the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute because it received the strongest reception and provided the clearest picture. The Best model provided 27 interference-free channels in an urban setting and 29 clear channels in suburban and rural locations—up to 89% more than other models. The Best model has a high-gain, low-noise pHEMT amplifier that increases the signal range and improves the quality of over-the-air television signals, including full 1080p high-definition broadcasts. Unlike other models with large footprints and conspicuous antennas, The Best Indoor Television Antenna is about the size of a sheet of paper and only 1/2" thick, allowing unobtrusive mounting to a wall with the included hook-and-loop fasteners. Powered by included 5'-long USB cable that plugs into TV or wall outlet (adapter included). 11 1/2" L x 10 1/4" H x 1/2" D. (5 1/4 oz.)

FAQFAQ

Q: Do you attach it directly to the TV instead of a regular antenna?

The Antenna connects with the coaxial cable directly to a digital television, or connects to a converter box which connects to an analog television.

Q: I currently don't have cable or a satellite dish, so I get no reception at all on my TV. Will I be able to receive any channels with this antenna, or will I still be required to obtain a digital converter box?

The Antenna receives 1080 HDTV broadcasts that are being broadcasted in the area. To display digital signals, a TV must either be capable of decoding digital signals itself or be connected to a converter box or other HD capable tuning device with an antenna input such as a cable box or satellite receiver.
