Used by the Swedish Roof Clearers Union, this is the hand plow that removes large snow loads in one fell swoop. Exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, the hand plow has a 3'-wide blade and a u-shaped handle that enables better leverage and more forceful, two-handed pushing, allowing you to remove large amounts of snow. The blade's bottom edge is 22X thicker than a typical shovel's, mitigating friction so the hand plow glides over sidewalk seams, brick pathways, or deck boards. The thick bottom edge also allows you to skim through deep snow and remove it in more manageable horizontal layers, unlike typical shovels that plunge to the ground and force you to heave large, unwieldy amounts. The blade and handle are made from corrosion-resistant aluminum. With shock-absorbing rubber handgrip. Minor assembly. 54" H x 36" W x 4" D. (6½ lbs.)

This is the way to shovel snow!
from Toronto, Canada
This shovel is perhaps the best tool I have ever seen and used to clear snow. What makes traditional shovels stop in their tracks, this shovel plows through with ease...even heavier slush isn't a problem!

Not just a Man Plow
By Frau with a plow
from Iowa City, IA
I agree with the strategy to just flip the snow to the side rather than try to hoist a full shovel. This allows you to move large amounts of snow with relatively little effort. I then go back over the driveway one more time with a smaller shovel to get the last half inch or so, as I want this plow to last a long time.

Only works on a perfectly smooth surface with 1" or less of snow. On a rough surface (aggregate sidewalk) forget it. With more than 1" of snow forget it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

HOW TO REMOVE GREATER AMOUNTS
By Long for Spring Flowers
from New York
This snow pusher is made of sturdy, lightweight aluminum and has a plastic edge, which enables it to glide easily over cement sidewalks and not damage cement paver driveways. It is about 36" wide, so it clears a wide path all at once. There are no wheels on this product. Here is one way to remove higher amounts of snow from your sidewalk when you find that can no longer push the snow pusher foreward: facing straight ahead as you do when you walk on the sidewalk, keep one side down on the ground next to the edge of the sidewalk, lift the handle on the opposite side so that the shovel tilts up sideways and the snow slides off onto the area where you want the snow to go. If you can't get all the snow off on the first pass, remove what you can and repeat the procedure until you complete your task. Just like with municipal street snow pushers, repetition is sometimes needed. I find this procedure easier-it puts less of a strain on my back/body since I do not have to lift an entire shovel full of heavy snow. You do need some arm strength to do this. This is a unisex human powered snow plow that does not require you to wait in line for gas, inhale fumes, drag out a long heavy electrical cord or wake up the babies in the neighborhood. It is useful to handle moderate sided areas for moderate sized snowfalls and very useful during power outages. This product does work and we are happy to have it as part of our arsenal of snow removal tools and measures.

Seventy-five feet of driveway and I need this shovel.

First winter came at first snowfall - best to catch snow that has not been trampled down
great for light snow
from Binghamton Ny
Very good for light snow! One pass down the sidewalk and your done! NOT good for heavy snow, too heavy to push or lift.
Nice hand plow
By Harrison Labs Inc

Has thick plastic edge that does not get hung up on bumpy surfaces. Regular snow shovels that have the metal edge are problematic but this device is great and clears 3" or less of light snow very well.
I love this shovel!

It is just what I have been looking for.
