Ideal for a day’s walking or an evening’s shopping, it is handcrafted by a clothier with more than 135 years of history on the banks of the River Teviot, whose unusually soft water helps produce yarn with an incomparably soft hand. The poncho's raw cashmere fibers are manually harvested once a year from the finest underhair beneath the thick exterior coat of goats that roam the frigid plateaus of Inner Mongolia. The fibers are of the highest quality, averaging over 34mm in length and 16 1/2 microns in diameter, resulting in a luxuriously soft and warm garment that will retain its elegant mid-thigh drape for years to come.
