Deck details include a ski-slope ramp for speedier take-offs, working jet blast deflectors, and point defense weaponry bristling from port and starboard sides. The carrier's island features communications antennas and a rotating radar. When a pilot needs to eject, a helicopter and speedboat (with its own deployment lift) perform rescue missions.
