Very happy with the product
By Unfit but trying to get fit.
I'm almost 60, not in the best of health or patience but it was a quick 1/2 hour set up (probably 10 min for some!), use it every night while watching TV - it's very quiet, easy to use, works on my own power so goes as fast or slow as I want. Not a super work-out, but better than sitting in my chair.
from Richmond, VA
I have this in my home office where it fits nicely in front of a window. It is easy to put together and easy to use. You can actually get a decent workout on it too, even though it is low impact. I don't always have the time or inclination to go out for a walk, so this device is perfect for my needs. I am planning to add ankle and/or wrist weights in the future to get even more out of the workout.

This product is awesome
from Alvin, Texas
This product is small enough to keep in the family room to use while watching TV. Don't let it fool you, though, it gives you a workout.

Great Piece of equipment
from Bonney Lake, WA
I am unable to control some of my balance problems, so the support this offers is tremendous. The fact that it exercises the arms was a selling feature for me. And the fact that it exercises the legs at the same time was essential. It was inexpensive compared to the price wanted for other equipment that would do similar stimulating motions.
Out of my rocking chair
My husband wears a size 13 shoe and the footbeds aren't long enough for him, but they are fine for me. The operation is smooth. It does not hurt my bad knees as they don't have to bend. A perfect machine to pry me out of my rocking chair for a while.
I'm happy to be able to walk anytime.

I needed a way to begin rebuilding core strength after two years' on prednisone. And I am 73, so this medication was devastating for stamina. The strider is perfect because it goes as fast as I am able, it is very stable, and I feel comfortable using it. It is easy on knees and joints.
A few glitches with a basically good pro
By why do you need this
I like this in that it has no motors, no plug-ins, is easy on the joint and is very quiet, I can slip onto it for a few minutes every now and again without changing clothes and showering. Setting it up, they don't say anything about the moveable rod that allows the base to be spread wider for use: I did figure it out but then I'm pretty handy. Also, the instructions for the data recorder (pulse, count, cumulative count, time) are prettyn non-existent (connect it secure and push the on button - and scroll through it you want). It does not apparently count anything (it has not gone above 0 in a week's use, and the puolse rate varies wildly averaging out at about 250 (no, I'm not dead yet, despite alol appearances to the contrary). But this is not a major problem, I didn't buy it as a data recorder. This is definitely a machine for gentle exercise, it is difficult to break a sweat on, but that's what I want.
UNHAPPY WITH THE STRIDER
EASY TO PUT TOGETHER BUT DID NOT PROVIDE MUCH OF A WOTKOUT
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
