This is the hand spun sweater made just outside of Florence, Italy from a blend of soft Italian wool and luxurious alpaca fleece. Exclusively available from Hammacher Schlemmer, this fine-knit sweater is crafted in the Tuscan town of Prato— adjacent to the “City of Lillies” and famous for its rich history in the wool and textile industry. Warmer than cashmere and every bit as soft, hand-shorn alpaca wool is imported from Peru to Prato, where it is blended with the finest Italian wool and spun by hand to produce a silky soft fabric that evokes the romance of central Italy. The sweater features a crew neck, unique freckled Donegal coloring effect, and an intarsia elbow patch. Wine or Navy. M (45 1/2"), L (47") or XL (49") (8 oz.)
