This is the leather satchel reminiscent of those carried by Allied correspondents during WWII. Only available from Hammacher Schlemmer, it is inspired by the 1936 Musette Bag—the canvas carry-all that accommodated an ETO reporter’s possibles—updated for modern use with a leather exterior and an enlarged interior that accepts an iPad. The leather is analine dyed and treated with natural oils that “pulls up” the lighter grain color for a contemporary look, soft hand, and rugged durability appropriate for urban commuting. The single faux-buckled magnetic snap flap opens to reveal a cotton canvas-lined pouch that secures an iPad while a similar pocket on the opposite exterior provides additional storage.
