Handmade in Thiers, France by Jean Dubost, this is the cheese cutlery set made in the 200 year-old tradition of the Laguiole knife. Each utensil has a 1.5mm-thick bevele edge stainless steel blade that cuts cleanly and easily through even an artisanal Parmigiano-Reggiano or aged gouda. The blade is stamped, ground, and polished by a team of cutlery artisans and each has an iconic “bee” welded onto its blade to signify its classic Laguiole origins. The handle is made from olive wood, a tight-grained durable hardwood that provides a confident grip. Set includes four 6" knives with 2 1/2" blades, one 9" knife with 4 1/2" blade, and 8 1/2" cleaver with 4" blade.
