This carpet sweeper proved to be the best in tests conducted by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute for its superior sweeping ability and ease of use. It collected a variety of debris (including sugar and oatmeal flakes), instead of just spreading it around, and cleaned thoroughly along wall bases. It was tested on plush carpet, carpet tile, and hardwood, and was often used to pick up debris that other test models left behind.
