The removable thick shearling covers are soft on paws and are made of 100% machine washable polyester, and the entire staircase is light enough (the largest set is 2 1/2 lbs.) to be moved about the house easily or stored in the car for use at hotels or summer homes. Each step is individually shaped to provide maximum support and ideal weight distribution. The entire unit is constructed of a high-density polyurethane foam that's gentle, yet stable and durable.
