This single machine is both a recumbent bicycle and a rowing machine that offers the versatility needed to keep workouts fresh and challenging without trips to the gym. Rowing machines are appropriate for all fitness levels, and offer a total-body workout, concentrating on upper arms, shoulders, and back. Recumbent bicycles are an excellent source of a cardiovascular workout that are easier on hips, knees, and the lower back than traditional upright bikes. The side handlebars measure the pulse rate during cycling to ensure you have reached your target heart rate. A simple pin locks the seat in place in one easy step for use as recumbent bike, or unlocks so the seat can slide back and forth over the beam for a rowing workout. Monitor displays the speed, distance, time, odometer, calories burned, and pulse on an oversized LCD screen. Eight levels of smooth, quiet magnetic resistance offer a variety of workouts to challenge first-timers and even the most athletically fit. The seat is molded foam and can be set to any of 15 positions for a personalized fit. Rowing pedals are adjustable for comfort; both bike and rowing pedals have foot straps for safety.
