Combining the telephoto magnification of a telescope with the portability and dual viewfinder design of a pair of binoculars, these professional grade optics are ideal for both celestial and terrestrial viewing. Shipped in their own substantial hard case, they are crafted from heavy-duty aluminum and steel, and are completely waterproof for regular outdoor use, including boat deck viewing and snowy weather. Includes two interchangeable eyepieces capable of up to 40X magnification. The binoculars are constructed with BAK-4 prisms for the highest density glass resulting in reduced light scattering and sharp, bright images. Higher-than-average eye relief (up to 23.6 mm) reduces eye strain and provides viewers with glasses a better view by
allowing the eye to be further from the lens, while multi-coated lenses provide greater contrast and heightened visibility in lower-light situations. This model's increased size allows for an internal Porro prism system, which offsets the objective lens from the eyepiece for greater depth perception and a wider field of view (up to 64').
