The Foldable Electric Bicycle.
This is the bicycle that folds in half to fit easily in a car trunk or closet, and has a silent 260-watt electric motor that can assist you while pedaling up hills, or allows you to cruise smoothly at 15 M.P.H. in full-power mode while you rest your feet on its pedals. The bicycle can also be pedaled without powered assistance. When in assist mode, sensors in the pedals detect how hard you are pedaling, which prompts the motor to engage; speed control is located at the handlebars. A 36-volt rechargeable lead-acid battery that fits into a sleeve built into the all-steel frame provides a 15-mile range on a full charge in full-power mode. The battery takes six hours to fully charge and lasts for up to 300 recharge cycles before requiring repla
cement. The bicycle comes with front and rear brakes, a safety cutoff switch for the motor, safety lights, horn, basket, and an AC charger. Easy assembly. When folded with battery the bicycle is 33" L x 31" H x 18" D. (60 lbs.) ($40)
